If you are going to work on the web then you need two things to start besides your business plan.

Number 1 is your Web Host

The importance of your host cannot be overstated. The host is your web home, the whole of your websites reside there and are dispatched from there.

Hostmonster gives you unlimited websites, unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth and all the other things like MySQL databases, email accounts, and lots of tools to help you but one of the most important is Support and they do a Great job at that. I have used others but have moved most of my sites to Hostmonster and when the last one of my other hosting accounts comes due I will move those sites over here also.

Number 2 is your Website Building Software

My pick is a program called XSitePro. This site has been created on XSitePro and is the third site of mine using it. I love it. It is quite easy to integrate a shopping cart into it, see this video.

There is some free html editors are available but there will be a much longer learning curve to use them if you don't already have a good grasp on html. XSitePro alows you to do most of your work without going into the html at all and publishing your site is a breeze! Before you publish your changes you can preview it on the web and make sure it is right.

You never need an FTP program because XSitePro does it all for you, even when you make changes just click on publish and in a few seconds it is done.

Another thing is pictures, whether you are building a website or want to just take great pictures for any reason this will help you.
